I am a runner. A yogi. A clean food fanatic.
I list these three passions in this particular order only because this is the order in which I found them. This is not indicative of their importance in my life…only because that changes on a daily basis.
I run because it turns a bad day into a good one (or at least a more manageable one), because it stills my mind, and because it allows me to feel free. I run with my boyfriend, our boxer, friends…hell I even run with strangers sometimes (shhh, don’t tell my mom). I run on trails and roads, mostly trails. I run with music rarely, with my thoughts always. I run and run and run and it never gets old. You’ll hear all about it if you keep reading.
I practice yoga because it gives me patience, it brings me balance, and it helps me to be still. I practice yoga in the 4 gyms and 1 studio that I teach at, in my living room, and as often as I can (which is not nearly often enough) at a class instructed by someone other than myself. Every practice brings something new, and it never gets old. You’ll hear all about it if you keep reading.
I started my journey into real food over a year ago. During the last 6 weeks of 2012 I transitioned my family over to a Paleo eating lifestyle (although we still eat grassfed butter…mmmmmm butter). I eat clean because it fuels this machine better than any McCrap ever could, and because I want to be an old lady running marathons and standing on her head. I also really like the fact that pooping is much better when you’re not consuming corn and soy and toxins. You’ll hear all about it if you keep reading!
